The couple requested a processional piece without the grandeur of the traditional wedding music choices. The piece makes passing reference to the hymn tune ‘Brother James’s Air’ written by Scottish hymn writer, James Leith Macbeth Bain (1860-1925). With adaptations to registration choices, the piece could also be used as pre-service music for a wedding, and for the signing of the register, but also for general use.
